I’ve always felt that if you want to get a great photograph of the athlete in your life, your very best chance is going to a little photo session off the field. This is a wonderful example of that. Look at those eyes! Somebody give me a ball, I think I’ve still got the arm!Seriously, notice how Sue has drawn you into his world of baseball by filling the frame with him, waiting for his sign, and letting you wonder about his throw to second.

composition and coloring are superb – I feel the sun setting on an evening game; I love the subtle shadows and the sun lightly hits much of the player – the face pops with the sun’s glow; great blur on the background fence

I love getting the little details of the game to go along with my scrapbook pages of the action shots.
