How do I join the “How to Photograph Your Life” website?

What do I get when I join?

A daily photo tip from renowned photographer, Nick Kelsh, for one year and, eventually, access to the community including forums, the Radio Picture Show, galleries and a whole lot of fun in participating!

Will my registration automatically renew?

No.

What if I decide I don’t want to be a member?

We’ll miss you! But we will cheerfully give you a refund. Just send an email to: info@howtophotographyourlife.com.

What are the forums and galleries for?

We are currently in the process of developing the community which will include forums and galleries and social features. They will be a place for you to upload your photos and chat with other members as well as Nick and the HTPYL team. We’ll be posting assignments there as well. If you’ve been with us on our Facebook page, you’ve seen how the photo albums get full after awhile. That won’t happen anymore! If there are features you think would be great to include, let us know at info@howtophotographyourlife.com . The Radio Picture Show will also be moving to the website and available for members only.

Why can’t I see the archived photo tips/forums/galleries?

You have to be a registered member to see those pages. If you are having problems logging in, please send an email to info@howtophotographyourlife.com and we’ll help you.

What if I see something inappropriate?

Well, hopefully you won’t. But if you see something that is not safe for work or kid viewing, please send an email info@howtophotographyourlife.com and we will remove the photo if we determine that it is indeed offensive..

Can I change my user name?

You can’t automatically change it, so please don’t call yourself “MrsCabbageHead” unless that is really what you really want to be known as.

What about copyrights?

We value both our and your copyrights. If you created a photo, you automatically own the copyright to that image. When you are registered on this site and have uploaded photos, the HTPYL team may from time to time use one of your photos for use in the Radio Picture Show, Image Editing Tips or for other purposes, but you remain the copyright holder.

And that being said, you may ONLY submit your original creations. If you suspect that someone has violated yours or another’s copyright, please let us know by sending an email to info@howtophotographyourlife.com.

I love a photo on the gallery, can I use it?

Please contact the owner/photographer of the photo directly to talk about usage.

What do you do with my information?

Not much really. Our credit card processor is Paypal and we don’t have access to your information there. We will send you the Daily Photo Tip that you signed up for, an occasional newsletter or notification of an event Nick is holding. We promise to never sell or give your information to a third party.

Who is this Nick Kelsh character?

Ah, Nick. He calls himself a “slightly better than average photographer.” The editors of Time Magazine, “A Day in the Life” series or any of the other magazines and books he has been published in may disagree. Does Nick teach any classes?
