I know I’ve said this so many times I sound like a broken record, but I wish someone had said it to me back in the old days.

The very best sports photographers see the little life moments that happen on the edges of the game, the moments that looks so good in still photographs.

Yep, the ref’s still got it. There are just enough people in the stands and players on the court for these guys to throw the gauntlet down and garner some respect. And, yes, they are well aware that there are dads and moms with cameras there to document it. But I have to assume that Kelley was the only one who took this picture. Love this. Beautiful sports storytelling moment.
