First of all, I think we can all agree that the shapes and timing and black and white are all really lovely here. OK, good.
Anne, my wife, asked me how I felt about the one dark piece of window blind behind the cat. I said that I was rather impressed with the way Heather made it work. It’s really carefully placed and works in the composition…for me.
Of course, I knew where she was going with this. She wanted to know if I would ever Photoshop that out of the picture. (Her solution for pretty much everything in the visual world is Photoshop, by the way.)
No, was the answer. I would never Photoshop that out of the picture. I think it makes it a little bit more complicated and a little bit more edgy and, like I said, works with a composition and doesn’t fight it.
