This is one of those photographs that I just don’t feel like I’m doing it justice if I just babble on a little bit. All of the simple pieces come together for a bold, intriguing image.
I think that what makes it so special is the perfect alignment of the shadow with the bottom of the wall. The whole photograph hangs on that. That, and the color of the light, seem to be the result of shooting this precisely at sunset.
The color and alignment make this feel like this is happening in two different worlds.
This picture sticks with you. I’m not doing it justice here.
