The merry-go-round is all that’s left. All of the buildings are gone. It’s the straightforward, bluntness of that centered object that suggests the thousands of stories that could be told. Yes, I know, I often tell you folks not to put your subject in the middle but when it works, it works and it’s very difficult to argue with it, isn’t it? It’s a storytelling photograph, but the viewer needs to bring the story to the party. We can only imagine. I really love this photograph, Diane. North Dakota, right?
