Finding a building you love and can keep coming back to can be one of photography’s most rewarding self assignments. There is so much to be learned about photographing the same subject at different times of the day in different light. Many of you probably have a piece of architecture nearby that you’ve been ignoring for years and yet would be perfect for this exercise.

“This old country church has become my muse lately. I was lucky to capture Lady Aurora, the Comet Neowise, and the Big Dipper in the night shot. She looks equally beautiful in the daylight too!”

Such a great, moody shot. I’d love to have a church like that nearby as a subject. Excellent!
